Mountjoy were pleased to take part in this years’ Apprenticeship Bus Tour - an initiative from Shaping Portsmouth, a non-profit organisation based in Portsmouth, of which Mountjoy is a Patron. This annual event sees apprentices from local Portsmouth-based businesses visit a number of schools around the city, giving young people a first-hand insight into what life is like as an apprentice, and inspiring them to consider Apprenticeships as a future career option.

This year, one of our Apprentice Carpenters who is completing an NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry and Joinery at Highbury College, was amongst the apprentices taking part – we were pleased to be able to support this event and provide further information about apprenticeship options to young people across the city.

We aim to inspire and prepare local young people for working life by offering on the job training coupled with formal technical qualifications as part of government recognised Apprenticeship programmes. We employ both office based and site based apprentices in areas such as Decorating, Carpentry, Electrical, Plumbing, Site Management, Customer Service and Business Administration.. If you or someone you know is interested in applying for an apprenticeship with Mountjoy, please contact our HR department via hr@mountjoy.co.uk
