We are delighted to announce that Mountjoy has been selected by the Royal National Lifeboat Institute (RNLI) to provide a total facilities management solution to their site in East Cowes on the Isle of Wight

The RNLI charity saves lives at sea.  Its volunteers provide a 24-hour search and rescue service around the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland coasts. The RNLI operates over 238 lifeboat stations in the UK and Ireland. The RNLI is independent of Coastguard and government and depends on voluntary donations and legacies to maintain its rescue service. Since the RNLI was founded in 1824, its lifeboat crews and lifeguards have saved over 142,700 lives.  The Inshore Lifeboat Centre (ILC) is responsible for manufacturing, supplying and maintaining over half of the RNLI’s lifeboats - this includes inflatable B class and D class lifeboats, and lifeguards’ inshore rescue boats (IRBs).

Mountjoy will be providing a comprehensive facilities management service including compliance management, planned and reactive building maintenance and cleaning services to the ILC.   The service will be delivered through our Island-based team and helpdesk and supported by a mixture of local and specialist suppliers.

The contract starts on the 1st June for a 3-year initial period.
