Mountjoy's staff have been out in Ryde this week giving back to the community. HR and Finance teams as well as the Managing Director and Finance Director donned overalls and grabbed a paintbrush to decorate five beach shelters.

Despite the drizzly weather, staff were out in full force painting the shelters on Appley Beach on behalf of Isle of Wight Council. Mountjoy's employees are encouraged to give up their time to support a charitable or community cause of their choice as part of our Social Value and Sustainability Plan.

Local builder's merchant Buildbase supplied all of the paint for the works free of charge. The supplier has aided Mountjoy's community efforts on several occassions this year.

On supporting local projects, Managing Director, Simon Ingram said: "we take our wider responsibility to support the communities where we work very seriously". Other activities have been planned for the rest of the financial year including job fairs, apprenticeship events and further community volunteering days across the south coast.
