Mountjoy has successfully retained its contract for Building Maintenance services with the Isle of Wight Council following a competitive tender process. The contract is worth approximately £500,000 a year and will run for five years with the potential for a further two-year extension.
Mountjoy has been delivering this service to the Council since 2017 through our team of Island-based trade staff operating out of our office in Ryde. It covers responsive repairs, planned preventative maintenance and minor projects for all of the Council’s buildings including County Hall, schools, offices, leisure centres and care homes. The new contract will see Mountjoy invest in improved IT systems and recruit an apprentice from the Island.

Over recent years the team on the Island has consistently delivered a high-quality service as well as delivering some important projects such as the creation of the Covid-19 vaccination centre in Westridge.“
