Mountjoy is delighted to have won the ‘Amazing Business Involved in hosting and participating in Work Experience’ award at the EBP South Ltd Amazing People Awards, held on the 27th November 2018 at Lakeside North Harbour.
EBP South (Education Business Partnership South) are a registered charity who work with young people from Primary Schools to Colleges in the Solent area, providing a range of in-house career guidance programmes and activities, as well as external events such as the careers fairs that we attend. They achieve this by connecting education and business. The purpose of the Awards and the event itself is to thank and reward people for their dedication and commitment to helping students develop real work skills through a variety of events and activities from work experience to some of EBP South's larger events.
Mountjoy’s 2018 award recognises the significant contribution of an ‘Amazing Business’ to work experience, by supporting a wide range of activities that contribute to a young person's understanding of the world of work. In 2018, we offered 7 trade work placements to young people from local schools, colleges and the Prince’s Trust. This is in addition to other EBP activities we have been involved in, such as careers fairs, mock interviews and in-house mentoring programmes.
The award adds to our previous achievements at the Amazing People Awards, which include the following:

- 2016 – ‘Large Business’ Outstanding contribution to education business partnership
