Portsmouth City Council was in need of a reliable contractor to maintain and add value to their six hundred assets which form their corporate estate. The buildings are located across the City and range from civic offices, heritage and community buildings through to schools, leisure centres and care homes.
Mountjoy stepped in at short notice in Autumn 2016 to help out the City Council after their existing supplier went in to administration. Following a competitive tender process, Mountjoy was awarded a five year contract to maintain the assets.
The reactive repairs and building maintenance services have been incorporated into Mountjoy's existing housing maintenance contract with Portsmouth City Council.
Works carried out have included bespoke joinery repairs to Southsea Castle, door maintenance to the Spinnaker Tower, external repairs to a swimming pool and slipway concrete works for Langstone Harbour Outdoor Activity Centre.
As part of Mountjoy’s Social Value Plan and commitment to making a positive contribution to local communities, our maintenance team have been helping to redevelop a local adventure playground for the Council.
