Working with public buildings in the leisure sector requires high levels of consideration for building users. Our experience of working in these types of buildings means that we have prepared solutions for live, ‘operational’ buildings. We have worked for local authorities, leisure groups, charities and community associations to carry out construction and refurbishment projects and maintenance services over the last twenty years.

Our renovation and building works in this industry have recently included conversion of an old school into a community centre, refurbishment of a leisure centre to provide a soft-play and climbing activity space and reactive maintenance for corporate assets for a local council including their leisure centres, libraries and adventure playgrounds. We have the capability to manage small frequent jobs as well as multi-million pound projects.

Whether we are fixing a tap in leisure centre changing rooms or extending a community centre, our team treat the job with the utmost care, attention to detail and with minimum disruption so that end-users can continue their visit uninterrupted. We regularly perform cyclical and preventative maintenance to keep public buildings up to date which we know is highly important with leisure facilities open to customers who are paying for a certain standard of service. With an up to date asset register we can schedule maintenance works as they are required annually.

We have carried out a large number of extensions, alterations and new build projects for leisure clients. We find that the keys to performing these projects well are maintaining regular communication with customers and minimising their disruption through methods such as secure site hoarding/fencing and soundproofing. Our aim is to provide clean and fresh, motivating spaces that people want to visit and spend time in. Through partnering with designers and architects and using the right suppliers we can achieve this so that customers come back time and again.
