In 2013 Mountjoy helped Age UK Portsmouth launch their garden maintenance service targeted mainly at older and disabled people who can no longer manage the upkeep of their gardens. Since the donation of a van by Mountjoy, their Gardening Service has been a massive success and with such high demand five years down the line they now have a third gardening team.
This year we have been able to donate another van to support the charity and its work to assist more vulnerable people around the city of Portsmouth, allowing them to enjoy their gardens and outside spaces.
Age UK Portsmouth currently offers a large range of services to over 50’s in the south east Hampshire area including an activity centre, drop-in centres, foot care, Help Around the Home Service as well as offering free information and advice.
