Mountjoy, the construction and maintenance company, is assisting Portsmouth City Council with the removal of cladding from two tower blocks in the city - Horatia House and Leamington House in Somerstown. Mountjoy mobilised in less than 24hours following an urgent request from the City Council last week. Work is ongoing to remove the panels from Horatia and initial exploratory work has started on Leamington.
To avoid any misunderstanding we would like make clear that Mountjoy was not involved in any capacity in the original installation of the cladding on these buildings, nor have we been involved in installation of cladding on any other buildings affected by recent fire safety tests.
