The Objective
After an issue with their previous maintenance contractor, the Isle of Wight Council were in need of a team that could mobilise rapidly to carry out responsive repairs, planned preventative maintenance and minor project quotations for all of their assets.
The Solution
Having provided this maintenance service previously for Isle of Wight Council and with a local office; after a procurement exercise, Mountjoy was found to be the right contractor to deliver an interim service. The contract was for four months until the full tender was procured.
Mountjoy’s direct team provide the service across the Council’s property estate, including County Hall, schools and other education related premises, libraries, offices, leisure centres, care homes and day centres. The team have agreed three levels of response priorities with the Council to allow our Newport operations centre to allocate the most urgent jobs first. A team of qualified tradesmen deliver the planned and day-to-day works.
In 2021 we successfully retendered the contract for an additional four years.
