VARIOUS ROOF REPLACEMENTS FOR MEDINA HOUSING ASSOCIATION

Mountjoy was appointed to carry out a planned roof replacement scheme for Medina Housing Association on the Isle of Wight.

The project was carried out in two phases and involved the replacement of 87 roofs, and included pitched roof coverings, lead valley and flashings, rainwater pipework as well as upgrading of thermal insulation valves.

This project required considerable co-ordination as some of the properties were adjoined to non-housing association residences. Mountjoy's team liaised with the Resident Liaison Officer assigned to the project to ensure services weren't interrupted (e.g. scaffolding and impact on satellite TV), and ensured the roof space was constantly weather-tight in order to protect the residents' belongings stored in the attics.
