ALTERATIONS TO ABBEYFIELD CARE HOME, RYDE

Mountjoy won a project to convert an Abbeyfield Care Home in Ryde into ten self-contained properties.

The project involved asbestos removal by an approved member of our supply chain, the internal strip out of internal walls, floors and ceilings and new internal partitions to suit the revised layouts. Sound and fire insulation were upgraded to comply with current building regulations. Electrical, plumbing, sanitaryware and heating installations were replaced along with communal fire and security systems. New gas, water, electrical and BT lines were supplied to each of the properties. All remaining walls and ceilings were overboarded throughout with new kitchens to the client's designs and requirements.

To finish the works, all uPVC windows and doors were replaced with complete internal redecoration and a new car parking area to the front of the property.
